Challenge

Kennametal wanted to boost sales of high-potential, advanced industrial products. They realized they needed to elevate the training of their sales team and distributors. The challenge was to develop a cost-effective program with global reach and results that could be tracked. JPL's Learning Solutions Team proposed web-based multimedia training modules, using our proven tools for capturing expert knowledge and converting it into engaging training.

Solution

JPL created a standard approach to developing e-Learning courses that trained more salespeople sooner and at less cost. JPL created more than 250 modules in eight languages, delivered in 47 countries. JPL also implemented a learning management system for tracking training compliance and comprehension. By making Kennametal's international staff of more than 2,000 salespeople more knowledgeable, the learning modules helped them score greater conversion rates, higher sales and increased market share.
