One of the toughest challenges brand marketers face today is the need to produce volumes of effective content to fuel their digital campaigns and social media programs. Not only does this content need to be engaging and relevant, but it must be produced quickly and cost-effectively – a struggle for many in-house brand teams and agencies alike. To address this need, JPL established our Content Studio in early 2018.
Our Content Studio serves a specific role inside the agency – leveraging established creative direction to quickly and cost-effectively produce quality digital content at scale. Once strategic and creative direction is set for a campaign, we bring in the Content Studio to scale up production. Their sole focus is creating digital ad sets, paid and organic social posts, emails and website content. This agile team, built for speed, has capabilities in design, photography and short-form video production.
We are collaborative and flexible.
In addition to working under the direction of our in-house creative team, the Content Studio also works directly with client brand teams. For these engagements, the brand provides the strategic direction. The Content Studio leverages existing creative direction and visual standards to guide content development. Some clients want to be very hands-on, while others look to us to drive the work forward as an extension of their team. We are equally comfortable with both scenarios. Our team can participate in editorial content planning or we can work from the direction provided by the brand. Our agile approach also enables us to be flexible, pivoting to be opportunistic and respond the changing needs of your business.
We ramp-up quickly.
Some brands hesitate to add new agency partners because of the time and investment required to bring them up to speed. Within the Content Studio, we employ an accelerated on-boarding process to quickly align on strategy, content planning, brand standards and work process. We ensure our content development process aligns with the needs of the brand, including team roles and accountabilities, protocols for reviews and approvals and use of publishing platforms. This results in a quick ramp-up and the team can immediately start producing great content.

We know our work needs to drive engagement. That is a benefit to working with our Content Studio; we’re always analyzing the effectiveness of the content we produce. Working with our in-house account teams, or directly with our brand partners, we review performance and evaluate how to improve and iterate on the work. On-strategy, on-brand content with purpose – this is at the center of everything we do in the Content Studio.
