Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital earned a Bronze Excellence Award from the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Group on Institutional Advancement for a video series produced by JPL.
The series, “Honesty and Strength to Conquer Childhood Cancer,” raises awareness of Four Diamonds’ mission to conquer childhood cancer. Through the stories of children impacted by cancer, the series inspires viewers to learn more and support the mission. It also reminds children and families who are fighting pediatric cancer that they are not alone in their battle.
Judges recognized the video series for being compelling and emotional. One judge commented that “the use of kids’ voices is particularly effective and makes an important emotional connection to the institution.”
The program is an annual peer-reviewed competition to honor the most creative and effective approaches used to promote academic medicine through alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and public affairs/community relations programs and projects.
