JPL is honored to rank #16 on the 2013 Best Places to Work in PA list of medium-sized companies. A twelve-time consecutive winner, JPL was recognized with other winning companies last night at the Lancaster County Convention Center.
“The recognition is really a reflection of our team and the culture,” said Human Resources Director Melissa Washington. “We continue to grow a team of talented, creative people who contribute to our extraordinary work environment,” she added.
Since 2000, Best Places to Work in PA has been a celebration of jobs and the employers who provide them. The program is made possible by a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the Central Penn Business Journal.
Winning companies achieve the highest combined scores in a twofold evaluation: review of a company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics (25%); and results of an employee survey to measure the employee experience (75%). Using a formula similar to Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work for in America,” the Best Companies Group surveys and scores the workplace practices survey along with the employee survey and each Best Places to Work candidate is given an overall score.
JPL is in the medium-sized category for firms with 25-250 employees.
